Sugar Shane`s in Augusta

Excellent small town restaurant, great food, caring owners and best patio in southcentral Kansas. They sell lots of local products to boot.

Drinks and appetizers were fantastic, but we waited over 45 minutes to receive our food even though eveyone who came in after us was getting it very quickly with just as many (3) meals coming out. My food was great, found a hair in my boyfriend's fries. He insisted we dont send it back because he hadn't eaten yet today and we were ready to get home. We understood that their werenproblems in the kitchen, but it would have been nice to be informed, especially with the owner standing in the corner or the bar most of the time. The waitress was fantastic very friendly. The food was good, and we won't let this stop us from trying again

We'd never heard of Sugar Shane's before tonight. Boy, were we missing out. Great prices, delicious food and fantastic service. Our group had onion rings, fried mushrooms, and fresh pork rinds to start, fried catfish, salmon, white fish and burgers, and all the usual sides. Everyone left fat and happy. We will definitely be back.

The chicken fried steak was way over cooked when we mentioned it they apologized and CHARGED US ANYWAY!!!

Sometimes the service is a little slow but the waitresses are friendly and the food is good, and the owners are very nice👍

The new patio is amazing, the food is delicious and Augusta is lucky to have this little gem. So go out and support the great team who make this possible.

Excellent and fun place to eat. Pasta and burgers were great. Dessert was very good. Staff were very friendly.

Just finished trivia night, and it was totally fun! The wait staff did pretty good at getting orders or in a timely manner, even though they were pretty packed. Great atmosphere, great trivia host, and a nice evening out!!

It was another great visit to Sugar Shane's. The food and the service were both great!

Came for the Mac and cheese special but it was sold out. BUT, the food was still great. The fish burrito tasted great, they use the tortilla similar to the Mexican joints also had the spicy chicken sandwich. Kind of wish they had done a little more then just slathered plain Sriracha on it. Other wishes the chicken was moist. Cheap beers too!

They were friendly and accommodating to a very large party! Thank you so much!!!!

Food was great, but got my order wrong twice and didnt offer anything off my meal in exchange for messing it up.

Food was good served hot. Service was great. Greeted quickly and sat. Server got my drink and order right away. It was lunch and I was in a time crunch. She checked on me right after I got into the burger. She had my bill ready and quickly processed the payment and brought me an iced tea to go. Thank you.

Very friendly wait staff, bartender was attentive and food was great. Sirloin is amazing. Onion rings could have been cooked a bit longer. Overall a very pleasant experience.

Update, March 4th 2019. Really looks great after the remodel. Great job Shane, still great food, live the daily specials. Ate supper again here on April 3rd. Had the chicken fried chicken and my wife had the fish. Both good flavor. (A little greasy, but still good)Support your local small town establishments. Shane's is a great place to meet and eat.

Hot tea was room temp politely asked for hotter water nicely handled. When I asked for a new tea bag I was charged 2.25 for another bag. The club sandwich left allot to be desired fries were not fresh. Service was short, b hurried but polite. Not worth 13.00 plus tip.

We just are just about done with our long A$# road trip. With that we have been so over fast food this trip. I So we traveled a little off the highway to get some real food and too take a break from driving. That was a great idea we stopped and this place was fun +side the bathrooms and were clean and the food was amazing a must stop for good food. Shane even made it a point to come over and chat great experience on our way home thanks for the yummyness

First time there because I'm always on the quest for great catfish. It was really good as were the hushpuppies... the coleslaw not so much. It was room temp and tasted flat and old. If you want an ice cold beer ya better look elsewhere cuz they don't chill their glasses. Very disappointed there. The waitstaff is great and the daily menu looks inviting... will be back to try. Clean, Great decor and atmosphere.

I enjoyed the visit with my son, the pop was perfect and our waitress was very kind and knowledgeable. The food was good but everything is atleast $2 overpriced. The salmon dish had a good flavor but it was very spicy and was not advertised this way (hello, heartburn). The cilantro rice was delicious, as were the veggies. The problem is that all three are very salty, I love salt so for me to say this is a big deal. The portions were lunch sized as well, I'd expect twice the amount of rice and veggies for $15 a plate. My family will not be eating here again.

Had our Wedding Rehearsal dinner in Sugar Shane's Cafe in their patio room. Lots of compliments on the food and Tonya was great to work with. Excellent service! Stuffed mushrooms were awesome! We did the Budget Pasta bar. Very good. We should have had them cater the wedding too! By far the easiest part of the wedding we did. Thank you

Absolutely loved it! Had the flatbread pizza and it was delicious, great flavor and perfect crunch. Definitely going back!!!

Nice spot, only had lunch here a few times but looks like it might be a fun evening spot for dinner and drinks too!

Staff is great very polite and professional! Food was delicious and was served hot and delivered quickly! They have a gift short with local goods that I can’t wait try! Will be going back soon and I recommend if you are in the area stopping for a good meal!

Really enjoyed the food. The burger was delicious with a big patty! The outside atmosphere was very nice, especially for my two young girls. It’s definitely kid friendly and fun games to play for any age. The owner was very welcoming and was appreciative that we were coming from Wichita to check this place out. It’s really worth the drive!

Second trip and wasn't disappointed! Food and service great as first time...Reasonably priced, friendly staff and owner, clean and comfortable, great dining experience. Will definitely return again!

12 dollars for a bowl of beans and ice tea. Not going back. Another 3 dollars I could of had a great steak at a good steakhouse

The food and service were impeccable. There are daily specials and a bar available. It isn't a noisy place, and it is very family friendly.

Pleasantly surprised that this place was so good, great food, great drinks. After all the negative people in town throwing shade at this place, i was pleasantly surprised. Will definitely be day drinking here again. And the bartender Amanda was super funny and personable.

This so the first time I've visited this establishment and I am very happy with the food, the service and the overall location. The people were very pleasant, our server was quick with refills and anything we asked for and the food came out exactly as ordered, hot and tasty. We'll definitely be back!
